In a faraway land known as Cambodia, marriage proposals used to work a bit differently from what we’d be accustomed to today… the woman proposed to the man! How did this change to the way it is today, you ask?
The UCSD Cambodian Student Association is extremely thrilled to present its 8th annual cultural show – The Mountains of Men and Women. Join us at the biggest night of celebration of Cambodian culture in San Diego as we enact this classic folktale! Also at the show, guest and student dancers will be performing the most exciting traditional Cambodian dances, and there will be an exhibition of the most stylish Cambodian fashions. Do not regret missing this sensational once a year event!
During the evening, an opportunity will be given to donate to Ronald McDonald House, a charity that supports families of children that require serious medical care. Help us help them!
Come support the UCSD Cambodian community as we endeavor to keep Cambodian Culture alive, while positively changing the world, one step at a time.
